So you will have the chance to supervise and collaborate with a team in urban development in order to design and monitor various construction and repair projects for urban infrastructure (water and sewer networks and roads) while ensuring that the objectives of quality deliverables and profitability are met.

More specifically , you will need to :

  • Perform team supervision (identify resource needs, develop skills, technically supervise, provide OHS training, allocate resources to the right projects, carry out annual professional development and performance evaluation meetings, etc.
  • and distribute the workload and control its achievement;
  • Assume the role of project manager with clients, design at high level and validate the team's work;
  • Participate in the preparation of service offers;
  • Ensure constant coordination of work with all the other disciplines involved in the project;
  • Mobilize the team on the orientations and objectives of the service and management;
  • Participate to the salary review process;
  • Initiate the recruitment request and participate in the candidate selection process;
  • Incorporate industry, company and client;
  • Identify and manage risks;
  • Manage changes;
  • Check cost estimates, reports, plans and specifications;
  • Ensure the quality of the design of projects and deliverables;
  • Maintain constant and effective communication with the client;
  • Participate in contract administration activities, including review of shop drawings, site inspections, drafting of site reports and issuance of change orders;
  • Offer technical support to colleagues and customers;
  • Apply the requirements of business systems as well as those customers.

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the fields of urban infrastructure;
  • Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
  • Consulting engineering experience (an asset);
  • Having good leadership and being a unifier;
  • Project management skills (deadlines, resources, budgets, etc.).);
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Have obtained the certificate of the General Health and Safety course on construction sites (ASP construction);
  • Bilingualism, French and English, oral and written (asset).
