TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

This individual needs to be located in the Toronto area and is responsible for most of Ontario. The Account Executive / Account Manager will cover design and manufacturing sites as well as contract manufacturers.

This position would include new design, competitive replacement, account development, SWOT analysis and a variety of sales related functions.

We are looking for a highly motivated and competent individual, with strong sales and market experience, to take ownership of the Ontario region with passion and determination.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Serve as the primary interface between the customer and TE Connectivity.
  • Work closely with OEM and Tier customers’ engineering to develop engineered solutions utilizing TE's existing product portfolio, new TE advances and development capabilities.
  • Work closely with our procurement teams and TE product management to negotiate local and global opportunities that are designed at Canadian customer locations, and liaison with TE global associates on global programs.
  • Work closely with TE FAE’s, Product Managers and Engineers to ensure they are supporting our customers as necessary to become the preferred supplier.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the customer to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer.
  • Strength in assessment of qualified business opportunities, prospecting and account planning initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness in regards to industry trends and competitive activity within the Data & Devices market.
  • Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
  • Effectively communicate with all other team members locally and across regions to promote the business needs of the customer.
  • Lead commercial conversations with the customer while assisting on other discussions such as quality, delivery and logistics.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a College Diploma in Engineering with 7-10 years working experience and / or equivalent discipline.
  • Experience in automotive electronics sales, an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in automotive and / or sales industry or combination of the above.
  • Proven strong technical and sales skills.
  • Customer focused, through all levels of management.
  • Solutions oriented and creative. Self motivated and displayed.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to successfully compete in highly competitive markets.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Ability to engage with development engineers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player.
  • Able and willing to travel. valid drivers
  • Must have license.
