As a Proposal Administrator based in Richmond, BC, you will work closely with our business development, engineering, and estimating teams in compiling, editing, and writing proposal documents for large scale heavy civil construction projects across Canada.
Assist the Proposal Manager and / or VP of Business Development in coordinating the proposal process with all stakeholders, by compiling and tracking materials for proposals as per the submission deadlines.
Review requests for EOIs, RFQs and RFPs to develop a clear understanding of compliance issues and client needs, and to establish the required deliverables
Coordinate the proposal response from initial enquiry to final submission, setting timelines and deliverables and ensuring milestones are met.
Utilising your strong technical writing skills, write and edit project summaries, project specific resumes and all other supporting information for the proposal.
With the highest accuracy and in paying attention to the smallest of details, proofread, edit and standardize proposal text for grammar, spelling, comprehension, style etc.
Update Vision Database for project tracking.
Based on workload, take on additional tasks and responsibilities such as involvement in special projects, assistance with creating marketing materials, and attendance at various meetings or functions.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, however those possessing a strong history of relevant work experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 2+ years related experience creating, writing and editing technical proposals within a construction, engineering or design / architecture environment.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, superior organizational and time-management skills and the ability to multi-
task, take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign) and MS Office is required.
Having exceptional attention to detail is a key requirement for this position
Ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand language and graphics.
A team player who can excel in a deadline-driven environment and has the ability to prioritize work based in an environment of constant change.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed or required by project or proposal deadlines.
