as well as proprietary PHYs such as EPYC's Infinity Data Fabric. This opportunity provides a balance of analog and digital design logic with the added benefit of exposure to microcontrollers design, ISA and firmware definition.

The SerDes RTL team is looking for passionate and experienced Design Engineers for RTL Design and Firmware development of high speed SerDes IPs.

You will deliver industry-leading IP with the help and mentorship of our expert design, circuit and architecture teams.


  • Micro-architecture of digital blocks, along with hardware / firmware partitioning.
  • Digital design and RTL coding.
  • Behavioral RTL modeling of analog circuits..
  • Writing firmware for embedded u-controllers in C
  • Occasional creation of utility software in using C, perl, python
  • Co-ordinating design verification and implementation activities.

  • 5+ years of digital design engineering experience with successful tape-outs
  • Excellent knowledge of Verilog, C, C++ and a scripting language; experience with Python, Perl and TCL is a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics.
  • Experience with low level, physical phenomena oriented logic design is an asset (dealing with IO, clocking, voltage control, etc.)
  • Good understanding of computer organization / architecture.
  • Laboratory experience, including the use of equipment : oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details.
  • Must be a self starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer engineering is required. Master's or PhD degree is a plus.
