Our client is well-established and prospering consumer products manufacturer. We are currently in search for their Logistics Lead in charge of procurement, logistics and inventory management.
This position will directly report to the Plant Manager and will closely cooperate with another departments.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership background with existing project management experience coming ideally from the manufacturing, distribution or wholesale environment.
Our candidate is a people manager, who leads by motivating and supporting his team. Experience in purchasing, shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory, materials, warehouse, yard management experience are relevant.

Lead the inventory management process including reconciliation of cycle counts, annual inventory counts and all other counts as necessary
Manage the layout and movement of all material in the yard
Coordinate shipping including the optimization of freight cost and communication to customers
Lead the Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory aspects of the business
Responsible for the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods and services such as raw material, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and equipment
Analyze and evaluate inventory and production capacities and plans in relation to current short-range and long-range commitments
Lead initiatives to reduce costs where possible throughout the business
Lead the scheduling of work of the yard department and ensures all the necessary materials / tools for the shipment of orders is prepared
Perform safety, quality and productivity investigations to determine root causes & approve and implement corrective action
Proven Supply chain experience from the manufacturing / wholesale / distribution environment is a must
APICS, CPIM / equivalent designation required
Strong Project Management and Leadership skills
Experienced user of Microsoft Office
Demonstrated high level of Organizational Skills, Communication and Time Management
Proven knowledge in areas related to Safety, Quality and Lean Manufacturing
