We work with clients in the oil and gas, mining, construction, coastal logging, military and defense sectors. Coverage is as diverse as offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, to coastal logging camps in B.

C., to construction camps in the Alberta Oil Sands. Facilities are located within drill camps, mining camps, construction camps, pipeline camps, oil and gas installations and correctional facilities.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Retail Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us :

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through daily contact to proactively ensure client satisfaction and, discuss areas of concern, report on deficiencies, and obtain any new assignments.
  • Organize and attend regular meetings with General Manager.
  • Control budgeted hours and expenses for the assigned location.
  • Submit accurate monthly billing.
  • Inspect the worksite daily and on an ongoing basis to ensure the delivery of services is consistent with the work specifications and required Quality Assurance standards.
  • Review assignments with staff to verify quality of work.
  • Be responsible for the safety of all personnel and confirm that equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Ensure all accidents and property damage is reported within deadlines.
  • Be accountable for all equipment including key return.
  • Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for all on-site equipment.
  • Review efficiencies of operations and assist General Manager in improving and upgrading standards, work schedules, etc.
  • Ensure ongoing marketing standards are in place.
  • Be responsible for orientation and training of all employees.
  • Maintain attendance records for all employees.
  • Hold meetings with employees to review performance, attendance and health and safety issues, etc.
  • Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Identify and resolve problems on site and inform / involve the General Manager as necessary.
  • Document all complaints and follow up to confirm there is a resolution.
  • Ensure all unit controls are in place and executed.
  • Supervise catering events to assure full client and customer satisfaction.
  • Administer duties as required due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Safety Responsibilities :

  • Set an example for employees to follow by incorporating safe work practices and abiding by the Clients & Company’s safety policies.
  • Attend all required health and safety training.
  • Report and correct any safety concerns and advise employees of potential / unsafe conditions or hazards.
  • Enforce the H&S regulations, OHSA and company policies / procedures.
  • Provide necessary training for employees on the hazards of their jobs using the JSA and Task Hazard Assessments.
  • Provide training for the operation of equipment.
  • Investigate incidents / injuries / near misses to determine root cause and implement any corrective actions; reports injuries within 24-hours.
  • Assist injured workers to the fullest extent to ensure participation in the early and safe return to work process as per our policy.
  • Assure that safety devices and PPE are available and properly utilized.
  • Review inspection reports, JHSC minutes and provide corrective actions on any known deficiencies.
  • Conduct monthly safety inspection.
  • Ensure safety meetings with all employees occur at least once a month.

  • Post-secondary education and at least 3 years of related management experience in a branded retail food service environment where you have a track record of growing profitable sales.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to motivate, lead and coach staff.
  • Exceptional delivery of customer service excellence and outstanding client relationships with the ability to interact and relate to all clients / customers.
  • Experience in dealing with labor relations issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Highly skilled in inventory management.
  • Solid Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)and POS Systems.
