J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking candidates for the following Custodian opportunity to work as part of a team responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of our Fredericton, New Brunswick facilities.

Qualifications :

  • Education Required : High School Diploma or Trade Certification
  • Custodian / Maintenance experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain both carpeted and hard surface flooring
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of washrooms, lunchrooms and coffee stations
  • Empty refuse containers from office areas, lunch rooms, and washrooms
  • Ensure the environment is free of dust through cleaning of the following surfaces : Desks and returns File cabinets Bookcases Tops of office partitions
  • Completing preventative and routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to : painting; changing light bulbs; clearing roof drains;
  • salting and sanding; and other periodic hands-on requirements as directed;
