We are looking for an Sales Development Rep (SDR) to identify sales leads from both inbound and outbound sources. The inbound sources will be from Social Media, Website inquiries, conference attendees and other sources.
The outbound sources will be self-driven and will be generated via outbound activities utilizing Social Media, email and telephones.
The outbound targets will be determined through lead lists developed by marketing as well as from lists developed by the SDR.
As the SDR will typically be the first connection a customer has with CounterPath, this is a critical touch point to generate business.

Work with prospects on the start of their decision process to determine the best way for CounterPath to handle the customer Online store Channel Direct Sales Enterprise OEM
If the opportunity is a Direct Sales lead, the SDR will : set up and handle discovery calls to understand key information such as : Need Budget Timing Technical Environment
Based on the qualification, the next step would be to set up the next call with a Direct Sales team member for a more in depth technical discussion.
This will include taking notes and documenting them in our CRM (Sugar)
Provide a regular report on what you are learning about our prospects and customers
Actively work with marketing around new campaigns for new customer acquisition and re-engagement campaigns
Set meetings up for upcoming trade shows and events
Creation of lists via LinkedIn, online database tools, internal customer lists and information, and manually building via information readily available on the web
Constantly provide input on ways improve the qualification process
Work closely with the product and sales team to stay current on product updates and upcoming features
Consistently look for ways to stay current on customer environments, competitive products and solutions and industry related information

We are looking for someone with the following characteristics :
2+ years in a sales role with a tech company
Strong organizational skills
Formal sales training
Able to work in a fast changing environment
Collaborative but self-driven
Wanting to make a difference
Able to connect the value of our technology to the practical values a business needs before even working here
Able to work outside a comfort zone with a goal of making a difference to the company, co-workers and customers
Focused on being successful in this role and use that success to move into a direct sales role with a revenue bearing quota
