We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior in our IT Advisory Services, IT Infrastructure and Operations group.
The individual will work directly with clients to meet their business challenges through technology solution transformation.
The goal is to support our clients' efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in connection with the development and implementation of technology solutions.
Our experience is also important to the analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, technology infrastructure design, IT operating and service delivery models and vendor selection decisions that support the line of business IT organizations of our clients.
This position falls within our IT Advisory team, which helps our clients enhance the effectiveness of IT Operations functions by assisting them as they shift their emphasis from transaction-
level control, processing and reporting to more value driven, decision support and analytics.
Participate in project teams through all phases of the technology enablement life cycle, particularly in the area of ITSM and ITIL led initiatives.
Lend specific subject matter knowledge to the design and integration phase of each project, helping to give specificity to the appropriate architecture, system design and interfacing requirements, and implementation in a customer environment.
Advise clients on a variety of business process services (ITSM) that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization's IT services delivery.
Team with client technology professionals, and / or third-party strategic alliances to provide implementation of ITSM technology solutions.
Participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management.
To qualify, candidates must have :
a bachelor's degree and approximately 1-3 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 1 years of related work experience
a degree in computer science, engineering; MBA or MS degree would be an asset
strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills
ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
Experience in the following areas :
IT Service management and ITIL accreditations
Implementation / configuration of ITSM platforms, e.g. Remedy, ServiceNow etc.
Definition of business and technical requirements
Design of business and technology architecture
Outsourcing / in-sourcing
System evaluation, selection and implementation support
Business and IT process re-engineering
IT Program / project management and implementation planning (PMO)
Technical Experience :
It is desired that candidates have experience in at least one of the following technical competency areas :
IT service management and ITIL accreditations desired
WAN / MAN networking technologies
Data centre design, e.g. power, HVAC, facilities infrastructure, operations
Server consolidation and virtualization
Data storage and backup
IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Enterprise IT operational support
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30%.
