    Job Summary

    Develops and maintains engineering drawings and documentation for the Project Engineering group.

    Provides technical assistance to Project Engineering staff in performance of Equipment and Facilities design, development and support activities.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains equipment & facility drawings, P&IDs and Bills of Materials to document production equipment and facilities.
  • Prepares and routes Change Controls as needed to document equipment / facilities / documentation changes.
  • Assists in the development, execution and maintenance of Installation Qualifications and Operational Qualifications for equipment and facilities.
  • Assists in sourcing of parts and equipment and creation of recommended spare parts lists for equipment.
  • Assists in performance of experiments, equipment design calculations, data collection and analysis, technical research and regulatory / code investigation.
  • Develops conceptual facility and equipment layouts in 2D to support project engineering activity.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting support for process development at AFI.
  • Performs small projects / tasks including material / equipment sourcing, installation and commissioning as assigned.

    Job Requirements

  • Education Student in good standing in Engineering or Technologist Program
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities CAD experience - AUTCAD preferred Competent in use of MS OFFICE suite of products (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.
  • Strong problem solving skills Is able to research and interpret technical information in written, oral or diagram form using various sources including internet, technical libraries, supplier contacts, equipment manuals etc.

    Very good verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Experience Previous experience in industrial environment an asset
