We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Advisor, Employee and Leadership Development within our Organizational Effectiveness team.
The Senior Advisor reports to the Team Lead, Employee and Leadership Development, and will provide strategic support by developing recommendations and solutions that improve organizational efficiencies which will attract, develop and sustain a capable and engaged workforce.
In this consultative and collaborative role you will work with stakeholders, learning partners and our instructional designers to identify, develop, enhance, and implement learning and development strategies and solutions designed to improve organizational performance and support professional growth and development.
All Non-Union Exempt positions are being reviewed for possible inclusion in the AUPE General Support Services bargaining unit.

As the Senior Advisor you will act as a subject matter expert in employee, leadership and executive development. You will also act as a project lead and / or lead functional teams in which you will be required to establish strategic relationships within and outside of the organization.
You will be required to work both collaboratively across various functions and geographies (virtual environment), as well as independently in an ambiguous, constantly changing environment.
In this employee and leadership development role you will engage with a diverse range of clinical and corporate professionals.
You understand that the success of any learning program requires a level of stakeholder readiness to adopt and embrace the designed solution.
As the Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful transfer of knowledge to internal stakeholders accountable for facilitating and / or supporting employee and manager learning programs.
You must have a comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles, employee development and leadership development principles, consultation, evaluation, research and project management.
You must also be able to demonstrate your internal consultation skills to work effectively with stakeholders and partners in various focus areas across the province to achieve organizational goals.
As the successful candidate you will be expected to continually enhance your knowledge base through ongoing study in your specialty areas, and will combine your knowledge with experience developing and / or recommending learning and development solutions, using various methodologies.
You will then determine current trends and leading practices that provide leaders with the best solutions to suit their needs.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Adult Education, Applied Behavioral Sciences, Organizational Development and Human Resources Management).
Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in leadership and / or employee development, team effectiveness, and / or organizational effectiveness.
Strong computer expertise including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite. A valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel province-wide on occasion.
Additional Required Qualifications :
Knowledge and expertise in adult learning theories, systems thinking, and program development. Strong knowledge of the process, principles, methodologies and practices of organizational effectiveness and change management.
Facilitation skills and experience.Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.In-depth understanding of use of evidence-
based research for decision making and program development.Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s in a related field.Relevant certifications of CSTD, CACE, CCM, and PROSCI or other related field.Knowledge of training systems, including Learning Management Systems.
Experience in an organization of significant size and complexity, and a good understanding of the health care industry.
