Amusements Team Leader

What is the position?
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are an experienced event person and a hands-on leader who will plan, set goals and establish priorities for a small team pod.
Team pods will be allocated by your Manager daily for specific events, depending on the run sheet. You will lead by example and are skilled at both listening and providing direction to your assigned team members.
You will oversee your team to accurately pull the desired products and equipment, ensuring that what leaves the warehouse to go to site is safe, clean and has all of its parts.
Job duties often include working outdoors, heavy lifting, navigating through large crowds and ensuring satisfactory customer service from all team members.
You may find that you will frequently shift focus throughout the course of a work day, depending on what the day looks like and what needs done.
You are an experienced Team Lead for events
You will coordinate and prioritize with your team, depending on what is handed you by your manager
You have experience in working with the general public and you have strong communication skills for dealing with your team and with customers
You are responsible for ensuring the correct product is pulled and loaded in accordance with Glow policies and procedures
You are responsible to take part in and oversee your team onsite in the installation of amusements allocated to a specific event
You understand the importance of great inventory management
You are able to see projects through from start to finish with little or no direction
You can always see work to be done and take the initiative to do it
You are hardworking and highly motivated
You have a positive attitude and enthusiastic personality
You are able to be on your feet for long periods and you don’t mind climbing ladders
You show great attention to detail and take the initiative to ensure the job is done right
You are comfortable completing all required paperwork
You work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
You can switch gears and work on whatever project needs to be done
You are flexible and available to work evenings and weekends when required
You have a minimum Grade 12 Diploma. Additional secondary education is an asset
Ideally, you have experience working with kids and youth
You have past experience with amusements installations / removals
You have experience with team management
You enjoy working outdoors
You are physically active and able to lift 65 lbs or more and have full range of motion and dexterity
You are willing to learn
You are a think-on-your-feet trouble-shooter
You have effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to successfully engage all levels of the customer base
You are neat, tidy and professional. Don’t forget, you are the face of Glow
You hold a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive delivery trucks, trailers and cube vans
You can provide a clean check with respect to Child Abuse, Criminal Record and Driver’s Abstract
You are available to work flexible hours to accommodate event schedules
