This role is responsible for defining a strategy and roadmap for Talent Management analytics in alignment with key Talent priorities.
The incumbent will build tools, frameworks and approaches to manage the development, delivery and execution of talent management analytics needs.
This is a global position that will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to advance the development and use of talent management analytics and insights at Scotiabank.
Define short and medium term analytics roadmap for Talent Management in alignment with key Talent priorities
Collaborate with Talent Management Directors, team members and HR stakeholders to create user-friendly analytics solutions that meet business needs, including :
Designing and overseeing the delivery of leader dashboards, tools and reports that highlight insights, trend analysis, and a narrative to inform key business decision.
Managing analytical tools with both high-level dashboard and detailed drilldown analysis functionalities for HR stakeholders.
Anticipating future demands of initiatives related to talent, technology, and analytics and designing / implementing solutions to meet these needs.
Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in talent management and HR and convert them into practical recommendations.
Track internal / external benchmarks to bring quality of insight, recommendations to the work
Design and deliver enhanced and automated reporting and analytics that support talent initiatives
Responsible for establishing clear measures to assess and communicate progress and to measure the overall success of talent management initiatives, including establishing KPIs for talent initiatives such as the advancement of women
Seek out opportunities to enhance and automate existing reports and dashboards
Responsible for establishing standard reports for a variety of stakeholders using Success Factors, Power BI and other reporting and data visualization tools
Lead enhancements and updates to Emerging Leader Dashboard in me scotiabank
Conduct focus groups and lead conversations with HR Stakeholders to gather feedback to ensure satisfaction with, and user friendliness of, delivered reporting
Manage and optimize processes for intake and prioritization of analytics requests
Manages data reporting and analytics for assigned business area(s) including, but not limited to :
i) providing meaningful data, insights and progress reports on talent priorities; ii) providing insights into workforce trends and talent gaps to guide decision-making;
iii) supporting talent management processes such as VP+ Appointments and VP+ Women action planning.
Champion a performance-oriented and customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite / culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his / her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML / ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML / ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Education / Experience
Post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus in Business, HR or a related field is preferred
3+ years of experience with analytics and reporting, preferably in HR analytics, data science, or business analytics, with developed knowledge of dashboards creation and optimization
Experience analyzing large data sets to generate insights and connect different ideas into cohesive recommendations and executive-ready presentations
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules and reporting functionalities preferred
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze data and highlight trends, including making impactful observations to support discussions / presentations
A passion for continuous improvement and automating processes to make them more efficient
Ability to proactively identify issues and propose value-added solutions
Strong personal drive and initiative with curiosity to explore data to identify key insights
Intellectual curiosity around best-in-class’ practices (inside and outside the Bank)
Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence without direct authority
Ability to work at a quick pace with accuracy, meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities / competing priorities
Strong business communication, presentation and writing skills
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel or ability to quickly learn / use advanced Excel functionality
