Reports to the Manager, Renal Services. Provides nursing care to patients with chronic and acute renal failure undergoing hemodialysis.
Works both independently and interdependently as a member of the multidisciplinary team with other care providers. Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and their families through assessment of bio-
psycho-social and learning needs and works collaboratively with patients / families to support and facilitate informed choice and self care.
Education, Training And Experience
Graduate of a recognized Nursing program. Current practicing registration with CRNBC.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
Recent (within past 5 years) hemodialysis experience or completion of recognized program in Nephrology Nursing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
