We have a well-established Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) Framework that specifies a gated approach to the project lifecycle.
Early after the ideation of a new project need, an Opportunity Assessment / Option Analysis is conducted. We require the support of an experienced Business Analyst for participating in teams conducting / leading such evaluations, as well as supporting project teams that are beginning to plan implementation of such new projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
This work will require the Business Analyst (BA) to engage with various Evaluation and project planning teams in support of the activities and timelines associated with the specific opportunities being evaluated and projects being planned according to their scope and schedule.
Consideration will be given to proposals with BAs at a senior or intermediate level :
To drive the process of opportunity assessment and options analysis including engagement with stakeholders and financial considerations (including total cost of ownership);
To provide hands on business requirements analysis of functional and non-functional requirements as required by the project and our team;
To provide knowledge insight into the appropriate derivation of requirements to an appropriate testable state;
To work directly with the business users and subject matter experts to accurately describe and capture the requirements for systems within the scope of the projects.
The successful candidates will have a positive attitude, high personal standards, likeable personality, and be an excellent communicator.
In addition, they should be at home in a technical environment where success is based on establishing face-to-face working relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Senior / Intermediate Business Analyst with at least 5 years' experience who has within the last 3 years demonstrated experience in the following :
Demonstrated Business Analyst capabilities (requirements analysis, facilitation, organization, detail oriented, and communication).
Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting functional and non-functional system requirements including availability, archiving, performance, and availability requirem
Demonstrated experience eliciting financial requirem
Experience in facilitating or leading workshops, discovery sessions, and working sessions at all levels of the organizat
Experience working closely with both business / operational technology and IT technical resources, working within a structured testing approach.
Strong written and oral communication skil
Self-starter, positive attitude, good client-facing people skills, high achiev
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and SharePoint sk
Experience with Enterprise based IT pro
Self-motivated; capable of working independently and being responsible for results.
