Thinkpath Engineering Services (Ontario) Inc. (TESO) is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to fill an opportunity with a client located in Scarborough, Ontario.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Provide overall technical expertise and guidance on quality control as well as management of quality management system.
REPORTS TO :
Manager, Engineering and Quality
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES :
Review new sales order and setup quality control for production.
Issue written in-process inspection criteria and instructions,
Issue written criteria and instructions for the inspection of incoming and final products,
Manage the quality management system (QMS) including but not limited development, implementation and maintenance of the quality system,
Coordinate with appropriate internal and external sources and recommend disposition of NCR and Corrective Actions,
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal personnel as necessary, regarding quality matters,
Assist customers with prototyping and developing their products and R & D on quality related matters-occasionally,
Assist Production Department in monitoring and implementing quality program activities and milestones to ensure program’s successful launch,
Assist Production Department in selection of production equipment and manufacturing processes to improve quality control,
Coordinate annual internal / external audit for the QMS,
Manage the calibration system,
Review, update & make changes to QMS document,
Create electronic filing system of document / records,
Prepare daily / monthly report as needed,
Prepare documentation as needed for production,
Assist Costing Department with costing as necessary on quality related matter,
Assist in development of FMEA, quality plans and work instructions as required,
Perform quality inspections including receiving, in-process and final, as well as First Article / Pre-production Inspection.
Other duties as needed.
Provide quality related inputs and technical guidance on decisions regarding quality control and quality management system,
Communicate with customers / suppliers as required and in coordination with concerned department managers,
Coordinate control of changes with customers, Production and Quality Departments.
