We employ more than 5,100 employees worldwide, including 1,700 loss prevention engineers. The ideal candidate will be an electrical, mechanical or metallurgical engineer with work 5-
10 years of work experience in the heavy industry, such as mining, power generation, pulp & paper, etc.
Responsibilities - External :
The person in this position will deal directly with FM Global clients in helping them to protect their facilities against mechanical and electrical breakdown, fire and many other hazards.
The role involves conducting field visits, office work, and projects for large industrial occupancies and hazards. Initially, assignments will be of limited scope and complexity giving you the opportunity to learn.
You will gradually begin assessing risks at larger complex industrial properties. You will work with minimal supervision and must be capable of working independently.
You should be willing to operate from a home office and will be expected to travel to clients' facilities; overnight travel is expected approximately 25-30% of the time.
Qualifications - External :
Successful candidates have the following qualifications : Minimum of five years experience in heavy industry (previous experience in power generation, mining or pulp & paper industry is a plus) Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or metallurgical engineering Strong verbal and written communications skills Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision Valid driver’s license Proficient in MS Office products
