Performance Expectations

  • Provide a means of communications directly with the customer in order to develop and supply a component.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for warranty related concerns.
  • Responsible for the overall development, coaching and mentoring of the warranty quality management system - procedures, customer requirements and assessment of performance / compliance
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
  • Support the training of personnel of relevant requirements of the warranty quality management system
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports.
  • Evaluate failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain all warranty tracking, reporting, cost sharing debits and supplier cost sharing debits. Keep reports current at all times with management approval as required.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
  • Continuously monitoring, collecting and analyzing internal and customer data from reporting tools to establish warranty performance trends, define actions to address these and drive these actions to closure.
  • Ensure timely resolution of corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for ensuring all warranty mitigation and improvement corrective actions are properly documented and verified (evidence of revised documents or on-site reviews)
  • Define and ensure the implementation of Safe Launch procedures and Controlled shopping procedures for warranty quality spills with plan to exit within a reasonable timeframe
  • Lead all warranty product reviews, warranty performance report-out meetings and presentation development
  • Guide and coordinate project teams with various personnel designing, developing and building products or facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and :
  • ISO 14001 : Environmental Management system standard.
  • ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Credentials

  • Post-Secondary Education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or other related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of experience in quality assurance functions.
  • Experience with APQP : Process Control Plans, PFMEA, Gauge Planning, and all levels of PPAP standards.
  • Read operating and quality assurance reports to understand technical and operational information about facilities, processes and equipment.
  • Experience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensional tolerancing.
  • Knowledge and experience in gauging methods, calibration, and gauge R and R’s.
  • Ability to take precise measurements using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to be hands on and participate in tear down of components and root cause investigation

  • Proficient with MS Office and CAD applications.
  • Familiar with ISO / TS16949 quality standards.
  • Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining.
  • Desired Characteristics

  • Possess good written skills in order to write quality assurance reports that describe manufacturing problems, corrective actions taken and preventative measures needed.
  • Ability to make presentations to management during meetings, and be hands on while participating in tear downs of components
  • Possess drive and motivation to continuously learn by attending formal professional development seminars and conferences as needed.
