What is the opportunity? In this role you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end implementation of the analytics lifecycle - data collection, deep dive insight analytics, reporting and presentations.
You will provide objective, value-added insights and analysis to enable product owners to make strategic data-driven decisions.
The person in this role will build critical understanding of RBCs products and the associated client behaviours to help deliver business value.
The delivery of business value in this role comes from a combination of knowledge transfer to key stakeholders and the provisioning of data services and tests to client facing applications. What will you do?
Insights and Analytics :
Execute analytics plans on large data sets representing the behaviors, demographics and product attribute of prospects and clients.
Use a variety of analytical methods (descriptive, diagnostic and predictive) such as causal inference, time series analysis, and hypothesis testing to find actionable insights
Develop and test hypotheses on data and data models
Based on evidence, make recommendations to leadership and stakeholders to support strategies and drive decisions
Data Collection / Ingestions / Acquisition :
Collaborate with data developers, DevOps, data engineers and cloud engineers to implement new data collection / ingestion / acquisition
Support business stakeholders in identifying needs for additional data acquisitions, and coordinate plans to orchestrate data acquisitions
Find, clean and structure data
Develop templates and systems for repeatable processes
Digital Product Reporting and Presentations :
Support the creation of Business Intelligence reporting that can be automated using reporting tools
Define, communicate and enforce reporting and analytics standards, policies and data governance
Help construct presentations in story format
Deliver clear, concise and timely reports and presentations identifying trends, issues and opportunities
Stakeholder Consultancy :
Support relationships with key business stakeholders to develop, execute and monitor complex insights and analytical solutions to business problems using a variety of analytical approaches and methodologies.
Digest complex problems and organize into achievable milestones. Manages stakeholder expectations and keeps them up-to-date with project statuses.
Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
5+ years' experience in related digital product development, marketing analyst or data mining role
Proven analytics and problem solving skills
Strong drive and desire to understand relationship of organizational components
BA / BSc or above in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science or related quantitative field
Advanced experience with SQL, Python, or Scala
Knowledge of advanced digital analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research.
Strong team player with track record of collaboration and experience working as part of an agile team
Nice-to-have
Experience with Spark, Scala, Hive, Python is a preferred
Good understanding of AWS Big Data services such as Amazon S3, EMR and Glue
Experienced with Jupyter Notebooks, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code other notebook environments
Experience working in Unix / Linux environments
Experience working as part of an agile team using Github and JIRA
Experience with digital data collection tools such as Google Analytics
Knowledgeable in data modeling, data orchestration and data pipeline
