Position Overview :

You will play a critical role in transforming TELUS Business Solutions to be a fast-moving Sales and Marketing organization.

You have in-depth understanding of the data and ability to connect them to various use cases from regular standard reporting to ad-hoc projects to solve complex business issues through analysis and building advanced statistical models.

You are a pragmatic, no-nonsense team member that enjoys complex business problems. Your counsel is equal parts logic, analysis and strategy.

You have a natural curiosity and you appreciate that failure and vulnerability are healthy ways to learn and grow. You are a collaborator who can understand requirements from different stakeholders and figure out the most efficient and effective ways to work together to achieve the common goal.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage data and own KPI’s for TBS Sales Reporting and standardize the KPI’s to ensure teams across TBS are looking at the business through the same lenses
  • Work collaboratively with the stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, and strategy teams to understand their business needs and help to define the KPI’s and its reporting cadences
  • Lead the build of complex analytical models to find actionable insights and solve complex business problems
  • Work collaboratively with BI teams to automate all standard regular reports and ensure they are understood by the audiences
  • Create continuous feedback cycles with the stakeholders to ensure reports are adaptable to constantly changing business requirements
  • Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Consultant : exceptional collaboration, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills, including compelling storytelling and presentation to executive audiences
  • Analyst : strong business and financial acumen, including experience using financial modelling skills to create sound business cases
  • Problem solver : the fundamentals of taking a problem, examining the challenge, building recommendations and executing on those recommendations
  • Compelling communicator : clear, concise and influential in all aspects of communication
  • Engaged listener : capable of listening and interpreting stakeholder feedback to understand business processes and identify business issues / objectives
  • Big thinker : strategic, critical and creative
  • Effective coach : ability to teach audiences at various skill levels and willingness to mentor less experienced analysts
  • Known for expertise with analytical and visualization tools (i.e.MS Excel, SQL, R, Tableau, Einstein Analytics) and PowerPoint
