What you will be doing

This is a 15 month contract opportunity Under the direction of the District Manager, The Personal Care Specialist for the Program is responsible for managing on-

boarding of patients in a given geographical area. The individual will work directly with patients and liaise with Field Case Managers who work closely with the patients’ physicians to provide proactive and seamless services with respect to the program.

The resulting objective of this service will be increased patient enrolment in the program and improved patient outcomes.

This position is for a patient support program in the immunology branch. What You'll Do

  • Be the primary contact person for patients
  • Be a reimbursementexpert in his / her assigned caseload territory
  • Ensures coordination ofpatient services in a timely manner resulting in a quick and continued accessto therapy
  • Performs a welcome callto gather information and introduce each patient to the program
  • Educates the patient onprogram services, including but not limited to injection training, pharmacyoptions, and reimbursement support
  • Manages all aspects ofpublic and private coverage as well as additional financial assistance ifapplicable
  • Regularly interacts withinsurance companies, and patients to provide optimal reimbursement support
  • Works collaborativelywith other team members in varying roles, to coordinate the patient journey andensure patient on-boarding
  • Acquire in depthknowledge of public / private and federal funding mechanisms
  • Coordination ofprescriptions (initial and renewal)
  • What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)

  • A minimum of two (2) years in a Customer Service setting
  • A post secondary or Associate degree program and / or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to communicateand comprehend medical information
  • Demonstrated teamworkabilities
  • Ability to workautonomously and in a remote setting
  • Ability to managemultiple tasks and priorities at once
  • Excellent communicationskills
  • Strong attention todetail
  • Ability to proficientlyuse computer and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree an asset
  • Experience in public or private third party reimbursement arena, call center setting or pharmaceutical industry in sales, managed care, clinical support, or related experience an asset
  • Knowledge of public, private and federal reimbursement an asset
  • Previous work using a CRM system an asset
  • Knowledge of an asset
