Job Profile : Manager, PricingReports to : Pricing LeadRole Mandate : The Pricing Manager is responsible for analyzing competitive pricing, providing key strategic insights, pricing execution and monitoring of Loblaw price positioning in all markets across Canada in partnership with category teams.

The Pricing Manager is the first to review all pricing proposals based on both competitive and cost changes. The Pricing Manager then works closely with Category Directors to determine appropriate action, considering impacts to price index, profitability and tonnage growth prior to execution.

Accountabilities : Execute retail pricing changes and other pricing maintenance duties in the SAP environment across relevant Sales Banners and pricing zones.

Managing banner strategies in line with a value proposition that is consistent with our format and banner positioningSupport projects focused on meeting a stated business need for the Business Unit (i.

e. category deep-dives, supporting Marketing initiatives, and other ad hoc pricing opportunity reviews).Central point of contact for the Category Teams to monitor price competitiveness and gross margin at a category and item level, analyze and report on competitor price positions, and to maintain and adjust category pricing rules in SAP.

Ensure competitive pricing audits are accurate and provide feedback to Pricing Analytics, category teams and store visits.

Provide feedback to pricing analytics as needed about audit improvementsMonitor price index trends and competitor behaviour, conduct analysis to identify issues and opportunities, and effectively communicate to the business.

Support the execution of Pricing Strategy through adjustments to zone strategy or restating index targets based on changing market conditions.

  • Other duties may be assigned as requiredRole Requirements : Post-secondary education in Math / Economics / Business Administration or relevant experienceVery detail oriented with strong communication skills and a high level of confidenceProficient with MS Office (must be an Expert in Excel);
