Position Summary :
The Health and Safety (H&S) Advisor will be reporting to the Director of H&S and will provide coaching and direction to branch management and personnel in their health and safety responsibilities as well as on corporate compliance and reporting.
They will facilitate the training of employees in safety requirements and the implementation of new health and safety policies, procedures, and related processes.
They will ensure administrative protocols are completed as per the health & safety program and are responsible for managing and communicating with CNESST and assisting the operations team with the early and safe work rehabilitation program.
They will manage and validate safety program initiatives across the province / region including our offices in Laurentides, Quebec City, Gatineau / Ottawa and Montreal.
In addition, the H&S Advisor will regularly audit branches / job sites and ensure health and safety aspects of operations conform to company standards and legislative compliance.
This position requires travel between various branches and job sites to support operational staff.
