The founding principles of the company are still in place today, which are to provide residents with affordable, secure housing with a standard of care in which we would treat our own family members.

The Manager, Acquisitions & Corporate Development will have an active role in the continued growth of the company, through providing support related to both the acquisition and development of multi-family residential properties.

You will have the opportunity to apply your keen business acumen to lead change in a continuously evolving environment, always looking at the bigger picture, yet overseeing detailed work and producing high-quality analysis and work flow in support of corporate growth opportunities.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in all activities related to both the corporate acquisition and development of multi-family residential properties
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and business guidance for acquisitions and new developments
  • Work closely with external consultants necessary to facilitate both acquisitions and new development process
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of new development applications
  • Work with various approval authorities to ensure development applications are approved and processed in an efficient manner
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of modelling utilized for acquisitions and new developments, and seek opportunities for improvements
  • Support the Vice President, Acquisitions & Corporate Development in various related activities
  • Special projects as required
  • Requirements :

  • University degree, business / commerce designation considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant real estate and / or planning experience
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer and related technology skills including financial modelling, and the ability to adapt to and learn new software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Results oriented
