This role provides direct support to Course Directors, instructors and support staff for the shift to remote or online course delivery by building online course elements to support the remote / online learning experience for students
Applicants must be students currently enrolled in a Schulich undergraduate or graduate program.
1-2 years of administrative, design or development experience, preferably working in an academic environment providing support related to online course design or educational technology.
Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Familiarity with web content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an asset.
Familiarity with Schulich's LMS Canvas and Zoom is required.
Familiarity with other online learning tools, including Echo 360, Turnitin, etc. is an asset.
Familiarity with digital media editing software is required.
Basic familiarity with web design including basic HTML, JS, CSS is an asset.
Comfort with and ability to quickly learn new software and cloud applications.
Ability to deal calmly, courteously and effectively with people at multiple levels and build strong working relationships.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to provide detailed information and answer questions in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Ability to work effectively independently, set priorities and meet all assigned task requirements and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-functional team.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Attention to detail and experience showing accuracy with complex and detailed work.
Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential in this position.
