Weldco prides itself on providing a great employee experience where safety always comes first. Weldco-Beales is currently recruiting a CNC Operator for the Edmonton manufacturing team on our night shift .

This position will report to the Machine & Prep Shop Foreman.

What you will do :

  • Set up, program and operate CNC lathes
  • Read and understand blueprints, study specifications and drawings to determine the machining operation to be performed,
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary,
  • Ensure workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods, meets or exceeds the costs, quality and schedule expectations for all customers,
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Perform other duties as required
  • You qualifications :

  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Experience programming and setting up Mazak Machining Centers
  • Experience working with Mazatrol
  • CNC Operator Certificate
  • What you bring to the position :

  • Advanced knowledge of all safety practices
  • In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use and care
  • General knowledge of basic tools and equipment
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs
  • Excellent safety record
