Danone Canada is looking for a Regional Development Manager, Western Canada - Danone Canada in British Columbia / Alberta.

MISSION

To lead and inspire a regional Team of talented Retail Development Specialists to maximize sales opportunities and in-store execution in each and every store. INSPIRING LEADERSHIP

  • Develop a clear strategic vision for the region that will address today’s needs and anticipate future ones in a fast-paced environment that calls for constant adjustments
  • Demonstrate a stellar capacity to personally adapt to change and sell it to the Team to foster a positive and agile environment for them -individually and collectively
  • Clearly articulate and communicate the vision thanks to first-class written and verbal communication skills
  • Drive strong engagement among the Team through superior and proven leadership skills
  • Lead by example, displaying maturity and emotional intelligence as well as a relentless passion and enthusiasm to find solutions, deliver against the targets and systematically win in the Marketplace
  • PROACTIVE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Establish an optimal coverage and game plan for the region each month to achieve ambitious net sales, profitability, display and productivity targets
  • Define, communicate and reinforce the monthly priorities and targets required to maximize sales and achieve the plan in collaboration with the Customer Business Teams
  • Develop, quantify and sell in profitable business initiatives leveraging an acute knowledge of in store threats and opportunities
  • Creatively build contingency plans to rapidly and efficiently close net sales gaps at identified banners
  • Lead and / or support the negotiation of long term agreements with strategic stores ensuring a constant and fruitful relationship with the key decision makers in those stores
  • Establish and nurture durable relationships with Store Operation Manager(s) from each key account in the area
  • Build collaborative partnerships with our distributors in the region to maximize sales of the lines of products they are managing
  • Collaboratively work with Shopper Marketing to develop sales tools and solutions that bring optimal value and ROI.
  • Maintain a solid and concerted relationship with the retail coverage broker(s) in your area
  • Rigorously track and manage the business development investments in the region ensuring a full compliance to the control mechanisms in place
  • COACH, EMPOWER AND DEVELOP TALENTS

  • Recruit the best candidates in the entry level position to ensure a top-quality nursery of talent for DANONE’s Topline organization.
  • Demonstrate a genuine desire to develop people and help them grow in the functional and managerial aspects of their work.
  • Bring experience and / or observable aptitudes at managing performance in the context of project and / or people management
  • Demonstrate expert selling skills and a thorough understanding of the concepts and behaviours required to become proficient
  • Offer a proven track record in fact-based selling to establish a solid credibility with the Team and with the many stakeholders internally
  • Have a superior understanding of the key concepts and behaviours required to become an expert at selling
  • Be authentic, self-confident and exhibit a high level of self awareness
  • Have an ability for boosting people’s self-confidence and their desire to win
  • Be a Team player; Have the interests of the group supersede individual ones.
  • More specifically, you will need

    A university degree, preferably in Sales or Marketing

    A minimum of 7 years of progressive Sales experience

    Experience in managing people and performance is an asset.

    Advanced Excel skills

    Advanced Negotiation skills

    Deep knowledge of the Western Canadian Market

    The role is located in british Columbia or alberta
