Collingwood, Ontario is one of 7 Automotive Fabrication Operations in North America (manufacturing windshields). If you are interested in working in the town of Collingwood with access to beautiful beaches in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter, this could be an opportunity for you.

Pilkington Glass of Canada is a landmark in Collingwood and has been in operation since 1968. We are actively seeking a licensed Millwright (433A).

What you will be doing :

Ensuring all tasks are completed in the safest manner possible

Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints

Installing new production equipment

Servicing and maintaining current equipment

Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines

Troubleshooting mechanical / hydraulic / pneumatic breakdowns

Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools

Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.

Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.

Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area

Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

Qualifications :

Previous work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance

Knowledge of industrial control systems

Familiarity with all safety standards and regulations

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Basic computer and report writing skills

Good communication skills

Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment

Good time-management skills

Hours of Work :

12 hr shifts

Rotating continental 36 hours one week 48 hours second week

Rotation of days 7 : 30am-7 : 30pm to nights 7 : 30pm-7 : 30am biweekly

work 14 out of 28 days

1 Licences 30.54

2 Licenses 31.65
