This is an all-encompassing, customer-facing role that includes lending, investment and cash-related functions, as well as offers tremendous service delivery flexibility to the Branch.

As a Pool FSM you will provide customer service coverage across several of our branch locations and you will have the opportunity to get to know our great branch teams (and member) within a defined district.

Financial Solutions Manager (2 Opportunities)

What you’ll do

Sales and Service Excellence

  • Quickly and promptly greets members and customers, establishes rapport and addresses initial product and service inquiries and customer concerns.
  • Maintains high service quality standards, consistently incorporates the strategic selling process in customer interactions, and seeks opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to demonstrate our value proposition, uncover needs and recommend appropriate products, services and solutions, closing the sale and / or referring to other experts or lines of business.
  • Develops daily and weekly activity plans to achieve individual goals.
  • Actively participates in sales meetings and maintains accurate history of sales and service activity on the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Proactively contacts customers for a wide range of sales and service opportunities (e.g. renewals of mortgages, registered and non-registered investments)
  • Supports and participates in community initiatives.
  • Refers customers to other line of business experts and external business partners as needed, collaborating to ensure a seamless and rewarding customer experience.
  • Operations and Administration

  • Welcoming customers and providing lending, investments, and cash-related expertise and support
  • Opens personal and business profiles, demand accounts, term deposits, loans, ATM cards, and other banking products and services.
  • Advising on mortgages and secured and unsecured loans within lending policy.
  • Developing, maintaining and growing the branch wealth management portfolio, including both mutual funds and term deposits.
  • Proactively developing product knowledge and understanding of four lines of business, ensuring meaningful connections with customers;
  • referring to internal business partners as needed

  • Handles process for estates including initial interview, collecting required documentation and establishing requirements for disbursement of funds.
  • Performs administrative tasks including, but not limited to : ATM balancing and maintenance; processing ATM cards, night deposits, post-dated and pending items;
  • maintaining ATM card supplies; balancing cash and negotiables; filing.

  • Performs cash desk duties including handling cash for foreign currencies, accepting cash orders, assisting with treasury and balancing and maintaining cash drawer.
  • Provide support within your branch district.
  • Assists with branch opening and closing processes and duties.
  • Your Team

    We are looking for individuals to join our teams with the ability to assist at all branches within a defined district. We are seeking individuals for 2 districts :

    Central District : Maple Ridge, Surrey, Cloverdale, Langley and South Surrey (1 role)

    East District : Okanagan Penticton and Kelowna (1 role)

    What you bring :

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a financial services environment is preferred with experience in cash handling, mortgage lending and mutual fund investments.
  • You have a 'can do' customer service mindset, a strong interest in a career in financial services, a capacity and passion for learning, strong team orientation, excellent communication and relationship building skills, and a keenness to grow and help others.
  • You are a self-described ambassador for the ultimate customer experience, and you love to connect with customers and build lasting business relationships.
  • A demonstrable interest in community involvement is a must-have!
