VCA Canada Alta Vista Animal Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Veterinary Technician to join our established specialty services hospitalist technician.
You will have an opportunity to use your skills to the fullest potential throughout our six specialty services. Our VT’s are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital.
Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible to register
Support the Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Dermatology and Ophthalmology services
Point of contact between Veterinarian, Pet Owner and Referring Veterinarians
Educate Pet Owner on; home-care, follow-up, nutrition and general information
Experience with and willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia, CRI’s, epidurals and mechanical ventilators
Responding to pet owner’s questions and concerns face to face, via the telephone and email
Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
Strong ability to problem-solve
