Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will provide all the financial, administrative and transactional support required for an evolving Finance team, which includes, but is not limited to the maintenance of accurate records and files, processing of payments.

  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES : Verifying and preparing invoices, bank deposits and performing reconciliation of AR accounts while maintaining various AR files and following up on the collection and allocation of paymentsMaintain accounting ledgers by accurately posting account transactionsSorting and posting incoming customer cheques, preparing daily cash reports, posting credit memos, assisting with client dispute resolution and processing adjustmentsPerforming detailed and accurate transferences of the key elements contained in the terms and conditions of lease agreements to the accounting software systemOrganizing the customer-issued cheques to facilitate timely deposits and posting to customer accounts using the Company's ERP system (implementing Sage X3)Following up on collection calls to ensure compliance with commitments as made by customersSending out accurate and timely monthly statements of account to customersInitiating and screening customer credit application, including review of new customer accounts for GL account, credit term, and tax code accuracyMaintaining proper filing of billing documents, customer payments, and bank depositsSupport the development, documentation and implementation of standards, policies and controls in accordance with SOXPreparing and maintaining monthly and quarterly working papers, supporting internal closing processesOther tasks as assigned by the Accounts Receivable ManagerJOB REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant field2-3 years of accounts receivable experienceKnowledge of IFRS and management accountingSelf-motivated and customer focusedAdvanced Excel skillsExperience working with ERP software (Sage X3) would be an assetTime management and follow-up skills;
