What you will do : Provide guidance to stakeholders about alignment and adherence to Data Governance policies. Support the adoption of Data Governance Principles and use of the Enterprise Data Governance Framework.
Communicate and collaborate with business clients to analyze requirements and deliver the appropriate artifacts as needed.
Work closely with business and TIS to ensure new data quality requirements are understood and documented effectively. Conduct data analysis in support of existing solutions and projects, including identifying and documenting business rules, data needs and data specifications.
Provide support for Data Governance and DQ applications like Collibra Platform, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, IBM’s Information Governance Catalogue, etc.
Research new functionality and capabilities within existing tools, helping to plan for future enablement. Document and manage Data Quality rules and reports.
Capture DQ metrics and reporting them to ensure visibility and tracking of progress and value. Deliver data management and governance reporting and metrics for tracking levels and progress.
Facilitate the investigation into root cause of data quality issues by working with Stewardship and TIS teams. Create and deliver end-user training & documentation as required.
Who you are : You have the following education and experience : Post-secondary education in Information Management, Data Management, Computer Science or relevant discipline.
4 years of Data Management / Governance or Information Management experience in a corporate environment. Experience with data management, data governance and data quality practices.
Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement.
Strong understanding of the data lifecycle, including strong focus on data governance. Experience with implementing and supporting Data Quality Analysis and reporting.
Experience with data profiling and classification, data lineage, and auditing / monitoring. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence at different levels of the organization and drive change across the enterprise on data best practices.
