Job Description

The IBI Vancouver office is looking for an Intermediate Level Architect to join the High-Rise Residential team.

Most of the things you’ll work on :

  • Work in internal groups of 2 4 staff depending on the project
  • Engage with client’s to understand the project requirements, attend client and consultant meetings, guide the design process with thoughtful insight and best practice knowledge
  • Experience in all aspects of the project is preferred : design development, working drawings, contract administration, and field services
  • Monitor project controls and associated reporting as well as profit & loss responsibilities for the practice
  • You'll need to have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture and / or a recognized institution by the AIBC
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience as a project architect, with construction phase experience
  • Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
  • Previous experience in concrete construction
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit a must have
