What you will do?
Acts as a liaison between the client and Patheon’s internal Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) organization to ensure that all needs are met concerning both project budgets and timelines.
Manages 6-10 active medium projects with minimal assistance from Senior Project Manager.
Manages projects with 5000 or greater accrued project hours per quarter.
Resolves project issues and resource constraints within the team and with moderate assistance.
Facilitates positive team member interactions and manages conflict with minimal assistance.
Establishes / practices standard project reporting procedures to client and management (i.e. minutes, agendas).
Manages client satisfaction by managing client expectations efficiently with minimal assistance from Senior Project Manager.
Maintains very good relationship with client and grows it positively.
Makes recommendations on drug development and regulatory guidelines to client.
Plans, monitors and ensures completion of all activities outlined in the client quote for each project.
Prepares amendments for changes of scope in a timely manner.
Creates and maintains client timelines within Microsoft Project.
Contributes to Unit monthly forecasts by managing project Estimated Monetary Value (EMV) .
May directly manage Project Coordinators or other junior positions. Manages training for direct reports on Patheon systems and processes.
Provides training / development as required. Accurately evaluates the performance levels of direct report employees and communicates openly and with constructive feedback to fully develop potential.
Works with direct reports to implement and roll-out project management practices.
Other duties as required
Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or one of the following : Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (M.
Sc.), Doctorate (Ph. D.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Minimum 5 years industry experience
Well organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple project deliverables.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to motivate and influence.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently as required.
