What is the opportunity?

This position, which reports to the Head, Global Credit and Cash Product Management, actively supports the delivery of the RBC WM strategic objective to grow its loan and deposit books.

This includes the development and delivery of policies, procedures and product reviews for credit solutions related to securities based lending and all other asset classes as well as for deposit products offered in Wealth Management’s Lines of Business.

The incumbent will collaborate with the Head, Global Credit and Cash Product Management, Global Credit and Cash Management team members, functional groups, and the business to develop and manage credit and deposits products in locations around the globe, (WM Canada, USWM, WMI, and WM Asia).

What will you do?

  • Assess new product concepts, lead the development and enhancements to existing products
  • Collaborate with businesses and leverage other internal and external sources to understand the competitive landscape to assist team and ensure WM products are competitive and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Manage development and approval process for new and revised policies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and collaborate on cross-functional project teams (Operations, IT, Law Group, Compliance, GRM, CTM, Corporate Treasury, etc.
  • to develop, test, and implement new products and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with GCCM Credit Infrastructure, Sales Support & Training to support businesses.
  • Manage WMCP policies and review process to ensure alignment with RBC Enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, market conditions and business needs.
  • Collaborate with businesses and CTM to review and revise credit procedure documentation.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on cross-organizational initiatives that involve or impact credit and cash.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have :

  • Bachelor degree in a business related discipline
  • A thorough knowledge (minimum 5 years) of the processing, delivery and management of credit within RBC Financial Group
  • Prior experience in private client, commercial or corporate account management, credit administration and / or risk management
  • Strong credit risk management and general banking skills and knowledge of WM business and familiarity with Alternative Structures (Trust, PICS, etc.
  • would be a distinct advantage

  • Project and change management skills
  • A proven record of sound risk assessment and analytical skills
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills and global mindset and ability to build relationships and a global mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Solid PC literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Nice to Have :

  • Policy development experience
  • PC and systems literacy (including CCMS and COMS)
  • Ability to understand and deal with complex multi-jurisdictional, cultural, legal and regulatory issues
  • Knowledge of derivatives products preferred
