Our client, a global manufacturer is currently hiring for a Process Engineer / Designer to be based out of one of their locations in Windsor, ON.
Travel across the border to Michigan will be required occasionally.
Core Responsibilities
Define, analyze, and maintain product information throughout the processing phase.
Participate in the development of PLP’s, weld studies, Sequence of Operation Sheets.
Develop system and / or zone layouts drawings.
Create product sequence sheets (flow charts).
Create and maintain time studies (machine& operator).
Attend and participate in PFMEA and R&M meetings.
Document all conversations and communications with the customer via meeting minutes and project log and emails.
Ensure all process and product changes are tracked
Clearly communicate the impact of a change to the engineering team
Assist in preparation and presentation of all processing related material for customer meetings
Qualifications and Skills
University degree in engineering or college diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience in processing or mechanical design.
Knowledgeable about and experience in process development, tool design, and construction of welding and assembly equipment and technologies.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and written.
Must be able to travel to Michigan occasionally, when required.
