About This Role

We are an enterprise platform servicing home grown Digital OMNI Messaging solution that's leveraged by the entire organization.

As a platform lead, you must thrive in a technical leadership role and naturally be collaborative & transparent team member.

You will lead a highly versatile team of software engineers and business system analyst with the key partnership of product owner and scrum master.

You will drive the technology deliverables with the strong emphasis on empowerment, building talent, best in class design patterns, quality and commitment.

We are part of Next Evolution of Work (NEW) Servicing Product Group Common Service Product Family with the full adoption of TD Scaled Agile practice (TDSA).

We are embarking on an interesting transformation change to operate in this new operating model with the strong emphasize on product culture value driven mindset.

As a Design Thinker, you must have

Lead development teams and own responsibility for the delivery of development solutions and component / unit testing efforts.

Oversee and report on project status, manage project team resources and assignments, ensure project milestones are met and up to standard.

Work with technology partners to develop the content for development and solutions design deliverables, ensure project estimates cover all activities within scope, including project management and application development, software quality assurance reviews, and vendor and contract management activities.

Ensure all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members.

Define the Application Development Vendor strategy and manage vendors and service level agreements.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support / develop sound business cases with an on-going focus on reusability, scalability, innovation and enterprise-wide solutions.

Ensure the project team follows all quality assurance processes.

Drive stakeholder communications, develop effective stakeholder management required for team delivery.

Act as an escalation point for all risks and issues affecting the development team, and for working to define and implement mitigation strategies.

Control change to development project scope through accepted change management processes, impact assessment and documentation.

Responsible for delivering in line with financial forecast / plan, and achieving benefits targets as defined for Application Development teams.

Manage and track costs in line with investment governance to deliver agreed outcomes and service-level within budget.

Oversee demand management and project intake process, ensuring the development team can deliver on intake requirements and financial cost estimations are reviewed and approved.

Identify all development related project dependencies and risks and ensures mitigation / contingency plans are in place for identified risks.

Responsible for management of the overall development / design teams providing both leadership and technical guidance.

Set targets and objectives for the team, and deliver results.

Grow team expertise to meet demand and to support TD's technology direction; assess team capabilities, always look for ways to enhance value delivered!

Job Requirements

It helps if you have :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology programs

Minimum of 8-10 years of strong hands-on developer experience with recent 2-3 of leadership role as a people manager development lead capacity

Have a strong technology background as full stack (Java primarily) developer with the exceptional experience building large scale enterprise

Excellent Database knowledge and hands on experience managing a large Oracle database

Building REST API, microservice, container solutions

Azure public cloud

Manage a high performance professionals at various capacity (junior to senior designer)

Engage in their professional development

Mentor junior developers and BSA within and outside of the team

As necessary be "hands-on"

Be an active player in PoC and Solution Design Thinking

Provide a strong technical leadership

Be an active champion to drive the Public Cloud Azure adoption

Lead and embrace the Agile work culture

Participate in all aspects of application development life-cycle : PoC, Ideation, Design, Build, Test and Ongoing operation

Embrace DevOps culture
