The Project Manager / Engineer is responsible for connecting with the client from reviewing their initial needs analysis through to complete start of up packaging systems.

  • Review and interpret customer and vendor drawings and specifications.
  • Meet with and communicate with Customer on a regular basis to confirm status of project
  • Coordinator with all involved parties to ensure project is executed on time and in budget.
  • Write equipment specifications, send out rfq’s and evaluate vendor responses.
  • Generate and execute equipment acceptance tests.
  • Create line layouts with an in depth understanding of material and people flows.
  • Create full installation packages including BOM, assembly drawings and layouts;
  • Check & validate all final design documentation, parts lists and drawings according to design & contract requirements, to ensure completeness & accuracy;
  • Create IQ / OQ documents.
  • Provide technical assistance during installation, commissioning and start up.

  • A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • 5-7 years of experience in Engineering and Project Management, preferably in the packaging or automation industries
  • A PMP designation is considered an asset but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
  • Experience with line layouts, equipment specifications and mechanical design required (AutoCAD).
  • Equipment start-up and debugging experience.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD systems a definite asset.
