Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Content Strategist undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES :
Leverage data, analytics and insights to oversee the strategic distribution of all customer-facing content across multi-channel touch-points, including but not limited to the Lush website, social media channels, video and digital light-boxes
Contribute to maintaining a master content calendar and work side-by-side with project managers to set deadlines, manage production and ensure delivery of scheduled content
Collaborate with SEM and UX specialists to ensure all digital content is optimized for search and driving organic traffic
Work closely with the Digital merchandising team to ensure tagging of all content is in place and has consistent naming conventions
Be an active participant in content planning sessions in collaboration with the Marketing Comms team, leveraging content performance analytics to provide feedback on the cadence and mix of content publishing based upon channel and team bandwidth.
Be at the forefront of the latest emerging trends, platform capabilities, industry developments and best practices related to content strategy and planning.
Understand the key business drivers for our content and contribute to campaign strategy by recommending content placement and promotion to reach our target markets
Set goals for content performance and report out on results across all channels on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, providing timely solutions to boost popular content and improve under-performing content
You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS :
5+ years experience working in a content marketing, content strategy or content management role
Strong knowledge of current SEO best practices, trends and tools
Expertise in social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Extensive project management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Google Analytics, social analytics
Strong writing skills and an established portfolio of successful content
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or related field
A keen interest in emerging trends, best practices and techniques
Experience in the beauty / cosmetics industry or retail industry in general
Data driven and highly analytical
Bilingual (French or Spanish)
