The Department of Emergency & Critical Care Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine in Duncan has locum opportunities available during the summer months of July and August, 2019.
We are a group of enthusiastic ERP's with CCFP and ABEM certification.
The ER sees around 125 visits per day. We have recently started a Rapid Access and Diagnostic Virtual Unit (RADU) which has added a new shift 7 days a week from 8 am until 1600.
This unit manages patients meeting strict criteria who are likely to be discharged within 24hrs of admission. The RADU person also supports the ED and eventually the hospital with a proceduralist service.
We have double coverage from 10 : 30 to 24 : 30 every day and some triple coverage on weekends.
We are looking for someone willing to work ER and RADU shifts.
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement (RSA) including : Fee Premium 4.2%

Full Licensure with the College of Physicians of BC
CCFP-EM or FRCPC
Surgeons of British Columbia Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) - mandatory
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - mandatory
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent - mandatory
Emergency Experience - mandatory
