TECHNICAL ENGINEER - MECHANICAL AND METHODS
The challenges that lie ahead :
Under the authority of the immediate superior, the incumbent collaborates in the implementation and execution of asset management work in the field of water treatment contracted, managed and managed.
To this end, he coordinates and ensures the technical and administrative link between the City, professionals and contractors.
It provides applicants with all relevant information regarding their area of expertise. In addition, in the context of certain works, the holder is responsible for sealing plans and specifications in accordance with the provisions, laws and regulations of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
And more particularly :
Ensure the follow-up of projects in private contracting and prepare various internal and external documents necessary for their achievements and ensure their compliance before the transfer of infrastructure to the City;
Participate in site meetings during the execution of works, discuss with the engineers concerned, and ensure compliance with the tender documents, such as : schedule of work, respect of the cost of the work, additional work, etc. .
Plans and coordinates, with the various services, interruptions of service during the realization of the works falling within its field of expertise;
Ensures the implementation of the standards , regulations, specifications and directives for the construction or execution of projects;
Drafts technical documents (TFPs) to clarify the scope of projects and to prepare tender documents for external consultants, when required;
Checks and approves plans, specifications and materials related to the performance of work within its area of expertise, as well as proposed changes during construction, when acting as project manager;
Develops, designs, prepares and approves (signs and seals plans and specifications) documents relating to the execution of the works when the City acts as prime contractor and may participate in the development of technical solutions during work.
Processes tender documents, analysis of tenders, submission reports and works follow-up;
Studies and analyzes all requests for additional work and / or quantities and submits to its superior the relevant recommendations.
The profile sought :
Being a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
Possess a university degree with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or any other relevant field, preferably in the field of water;
Have six (6) years of experience relevant to theFunction, in the municipal, industrial or consulting engineering field applied to the water treatment project management area (pre-project studies, definition of needs, design, site supervision and acceptance of deliverables), including the management of professional and technical service mandates of the same kind;
Very good knowledge of water treatment and pumping systems;
Good knowledge of the management of water and wastewater projects. construction;
Possess knowledge of applicable standards and codes;
Ability to work in projects involving multiple stakeholders;
Possess experience in study and preparation technical and contractual documents of multidisciplinary projects;
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French;
Good communication and autonomy;
Possess a valid driving license and a vehicle available;
Owning a map of Construction General Health and Safety issued by ASP construction
