This is an opportunity to learn what it really means to be a Development Project Manager working for one of the world’s largest and most respected global renewable energy companies.
Through this opportunity you will gain valuable experience and insight into the expanding renewable energy industry. You will learn what it takes to work with a team to develop, market, procure, contract, engineer, schedule, budget and construct utility-scale wind & solar energy projects across Canada.
This is a 10-week full-time and paid internship that will start on or around June 1, 2020.
Main accountabilities :
Communicate effectively and efficiently throughout various levels of the organization
Work in a dispersed team environment
Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written; French language is a plus
Coordinate multiple tasks while supporting the development team members.
Minimum qualifications :
Current undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Business
Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with MS Project is desired
Experience with Google Maps or ArcGIS is desired
Behavioral requirements :

Focused on completing tasks on time and to a high degree of quality
Physical demands & working conditions :
Sitting / Standing / Flexibility : Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
Speech / Reading : Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
Lifting : Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
Vision / Hearing : Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
Safety : Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
Some college or better.
