Do you love providing great technical desktop support? We are currently seeking an IT Support Analyst for our Business Technology Solutions Department at our Surrey Corporate Office.
This position is responsible for responding to all technical / systems service requests from employees of PCU and its subsidiaries via phone or email, as well as performing server, desktop, and peripheral break / fix.
In addition to providing remote support, the position will be responsible for providing desktop technical support to internal customers of PCU and its subsidiaries.

What you’ll do :
Provide support on servers, applications, and technology infrastructures including custom application scripts on workstations, MDM application, and physical and virtual services VM Hosts.
Work with third party vendors for delivery of virtualisation technologies. For example, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Respond to trouble tickets for internal customers having problems with software, hardware and associated peripheral devices.
Investigate nature of problems (such as malfunctioning of hardware devices, associated printers, peripherals, and software issues) and corrects as necessary.
Provide mobile device, laptop, desktop maintenance, support and troubleshooting. Perform all onsite support of the WSCU applications at the desktop level.
Complete service requests and incidents within specified time periods.
Assist with the implementation of new installs, customizations, licences, testing, moves, upgrades, and changes to all End Point Devices / Peripherals, including laptop, desktop, and communication devices.
Conduct software / hardware asset management, inventory tracking and database management and implementation of software licenses.
Ensure privacy, security and anti-virus protection of all applications and systems; Manage MS security technologies and firewalls.
Use and support Microsoft applications (server and office).
Perform installations of LAN cables and connection to switches, switch patch panel cables at sites, and network cables to wall jacks.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnoses of physical LAN / workstation / cable issues and assist Telus LAN team with troubleshooting of LAN issues.
What you bring :
A post-secondary certificate in applications / information technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in information technology.
A minimum of four years’ experience with computer systems including data, local or wide area networks, server (including working with virtualization technologies) and software / hardware assessment and repair or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred : Microsoft Professional Certifications and Cloud certifications (Azure).
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communications skills, both technical and non-technical.
Strong project support, time management, organizational, analytical, trouble shooting, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to deal with all levels of personnel, build and maintain relationships, exercise discretion on confidential matters and work independently.
Exhibit initiative, and appropriate sense of urgency in responding to each customer.
Exhibit an ability to learn and adapt to a changing environment and a willingness to upgrade skills on an ongoing basis.
Proficient in configuring and installing network hardware components and cabling, troubleshooting to rectify any problems that may occur, knowledge of : TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, VoIP, cloud technologies (Office 365, Azure, Teams), Unified Communications, Citrix, and Microsoft O365 applications.
Flexibility to work hours outside of regular work week including weekends and evenings.
