We are looking to bring on a Team Lead - Planning with specific expertise in 360 planning with a focus on end to end digital strategy and execution to partner with our top clients.

This is a unique role, harnessing your expertise in Planning and Client Service and advising peers on managing campaigns for their book of clients as well.

This role is an opportunity to help Media.Monks grow and expand our Digital AOR offering while also broadening your skill set across multiple channels and platforms beyond Digital .

The Role

As a strategic consultative partner, the Team Lead - Planning will advise Media.Monks clients on industry trends and ways to harness different technology solutions to drive long-term value.

The Team Lead - Planning will report into our Head of Media Strategy. Successful candidates for this opportunity will demonstrate strategic thinking and client management skills that go beyond platform knowledge.

The Day-to-Day :

  • Be the main Canadian point of contact for our DAOR clients. Own the planning, client management and overall health of the relationships.
  • Developing connections plans and seeing them through, including ensuring alignment and follow through with agency partners
  • Managing a team of planners; support, delegate and ensure they are set up for success
  • Bringing unique business solutions and strategies to the table, challenging our clients and partners
  • Working with our Head of Media Strategy to develop and refine our planning framework, and establish a Go To Market strategy for our media / connections planning practice
  • Understanding all media channels and their purpose to actively recommend the best media mix solutions for our clients
  • Digging into our clients business goals to discover the real objectives and work to find solutions for those
  • Understanding and explaining high-level industry and category trends and how this impacts clients
  • Aligning Media.Monks goals to client goals, prioritizing opportunities to drive sustainable value for our clients over short-term gains
  • Providing SME advice to existing clients and Media.Monks account teams
  • Working in a space where we are redefining and creating service categories. Often, clients are unaware of their needs until you show them - you will need to understand how to build trust & create an experience they value
  • Developing and growing relationships with various stakeholders on the client-side (from Google partners, intermediary agencies, client-side executives and daily points of contacts) in order to ascertain business needs and add long-term value
  • Capacity to scale learnings from clients and products to other internal team members and across Account Management organization
  • Ability to present confidently to different stakeholders, ranging from Junior to C-Suite executives
  • Contributing to Media.Monks culture with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
  • Leading and effectively implementing processes & products that scale across a rapidly growing organization
  • What You Bring To It :

  • 8+ years of digital marketing experience and 360 planning
  • 5+ years of strategy development and client management experience
  • 3+ years managing a team
  • Strong data analysis abilities (e.g. familiarity with Excel v-lookups, pivot tables, and basic functions)
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills, rooted in the ability to draw and communicate insights from multiple data points
  • Excellent consultative approach to developing and managing business relationships
  • Innovative thinker with prior evidence of successfully executing on ideas
  • Ambition to perform unprecedented tasks and obtain new skills, be comfortable with uncertainty and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability and desire to scale knowledge and learning to other junior (and at times senior) team members
  • Strong understanding of the technical and publisher landscape in Canada in order to facilitate creative and effective plans
