Position Overview Cashier Duties :

  • Collects admission fees and provides appropriate change.
  • Receives payment by cash, credit card, or debit.
  • Explains swim admission guidelines and ensures compliance as required.
  • Distributes pamphlets and wristbands.
  • Answers telephone and provides information to customers.
  • Performs daily reconciliation of sales receipts and admission fees collected.
  • Prepares and submits inventory forms, daily cash reports, and incident reports.
  • Recognizes and takes action to correct and / or report customer service concerns, incidents, problems and emergencies;
  • contacts supervisor, security, and emergency personnel as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Requirements

  • Must have a minimum equivalent to partial secondary school education.
  • Up to 1 month of related experience.
  • Must be reliable with a good attitude.
  • Must be able to complete mandatory on line training prior to starting your first day of work
  • Hours of Work :

  • June : Up to 24 hours per week
  • July and August : Up to 35 hours per week
  • Term of Employment : June 1, 2020 - September 7, 2020Please note that as per Human Resources Policy #II-110, Employment of Relatives of Staff Members and Elected Officials : The immediate relatives of staff of the Human Resources Division, all Directors, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, or the Chief Administrative Officer and Elected Officials shall not be employed by the City in any capacity.

    The immediate relatives of all other Management personnel shall not be employed where such employment would be : 1. within the same Department in the case of permanent full-time, temporary full-time and part-time classifications.

    2. within the same Division in the case of students. Candidates selected for hire may be required to provide a satisfactory driver's abstract dated no earlier than 30 days prior to their hire date as a condition of employment.

    Note : Candidates may be required to successfully complete online training and assessments prior to start date as a condition of hire.
