Our Greater Toronto Area (Oakville, Markham & Toronto) offices are looking for a Senior Accountant / Consultant to join the Global Employer Services Tax team and own the following responsibilities :
Deal with relative Government agencies on tax issues
Effectively communicating internally and externally on various tax matters
Assistance in the preparation of voluntary disclosures for various non compliance such as Regulation 102 and non compliance
Assistance on review of share-based compensation plans to determine the taxation of foreign plans for Canadian tax purposes
Assistance in drafting technical memorandums for our clients
Preparation of Canadian and U.S. personal tax returns, identifying potential tax issues on more complex tax returns and work with the Tax Managers, Senior Tax Managers and Partner on solutions
Preparation and review of foreign reporting forms (T1135 / T1134)
Assistance on the international payroll such as shadow or split payrolls
Exit and Entrance interviews with current and potential clients along side the Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager
Assists in the development of client consulting project plans for assigned clients and provides support in the completion of those consulting projects
Conduct and present tax research on various expatriate tax issues

Y our experience and education
You have a professional designation or are in progress of completing one (Canadian CPA, US CPA or Enrolled Agent)
You have 3-5 years of experience in individual income tax and expatriate tax services
You have knowledge and familiarity with commonly utilized individual income tax forms
You have prior experience working with various tax applications and research tools such as GoSystems and Tax Prep; an asset
You have excellent verbal and written communications skills
