The General Manager (GM) is responsible for balancing these multifaceted needs, while strategically guiding the organization.
This is pivotal moment in the long history of this esteemed organization and an exciting opportunity to bring forward a visionary leader who can optimize and revitalize the Club’s exceptional reputation in sailing, sports and social activities.
Reporting directly to the Commodore and Board of Directors, the GM will implement the strategic vision and ensure the RCYC meets the current and emerging needs of members.
By providing superior member service and demonstrating strong team leadership, the GM will engage the membership and staff in developing and executing a clear, member-centric business plan.
The ideal candidate will bring proven successful senior leadership experience in complex organizations within high-end service-oriented environments, having managed all areas of operations, developing business plans and performance measurements, to deliver efficient, thoroughly modern operations and an enhanced member experience, thereby ensuring long-term financial and operational excellence.
A superb team leader with exceptional relationship skills, the new GM will also bring an appreciation, if not experience, of yachting and the business acumen to ensure a successful future for the RCYC.
Experience with facility planning, maintenance and capital projects will be important. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of political acuity and business insight, combined with integrity, energy, and enthusiasm.
