ABOUT THE JOB
To ensure a safe and secure environment for co-workers within our customer support centre, and protect our assets to strengthen IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store in our local market.
Your tasks will include :
nsure that all IKEA Risk Management standards are complied with on a consistent basis via a regular series of audits and inspections.
Open the investigation and follow-up on safety & security customer claims (eCommerce), fraudulent incidents, co-worker incidents, external threats, and other emergencies immediately when necessary.
Ensure rapid response to investigation and reporting of all emergencies to Duty Manager (s), Store manager, Safety & Security Manager and to the Canadian Risk Manager when required.
Work closely with outside contacts such as police, fire departments, fraud agencies, insurance companies, attorneys and government agencies under emergency circumstances through the Safety & Security Manager.
Communicate co-worker and customer safety and security issues to the Safety & Security Manager.
Participate and co-ordinate all Safety Committee meetings and activities at the facility.
In conjunction with the Safety & Security Manager, monitor accident trends and provide possible solutions to the Safety & Security Manager to minimize the overall risk of accidents at the facility.
Recruit m ent Safety & Security Co-Worker
Transfer learning to co-workers regarding basic safety and security knowledge via Before the Floor training.
Provide specialized knowledge and experience to assist in the completion of internal and external theft investigations.
Perform administrative tasks as needed.

YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include :
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), in French and English.
Adequate physical ability to perform the following tasks : complete internal and external rounds in every season, snow clearing / salting, respond quickly to emergency situations, and help with physical maintenance.
SAMS experience an asset.
1 year or more experience at IKEA.
1 year or more experience in Safety & Security or similar field, an asset.
Attention to detail, meticulousness and rigor in the execution of tasks
Excellent organizational skills
Problem solving skills and dealing with issues with a sense of urgency.
Strong sense of initiative with respect to the IKEA culture and values
Ability to share your knowledge and experience.
Experience in customer service.
Autonomous, ability to work in a dynamic environment and under pressure.
Ability to work within a team.
Quebec Security Guard License required, an asset.
