Description of the job, as Supply Chain and Quality manager for Propulsion Systems Commodity

In your role, your main responsibilities will be to :

  • Implement Procurement strategy defined by MFT (incl. supplier development)
  • Define couple Product / Supplier site surveillance decision tree and supplier surveillance plan
  • Lead and verify couple compliance to applicable requirements with all relevant contributors
  • Manage On Time and on Quality supplier deliveries
  • Raise risks, actions follow-up, reporting and escalation in case on deviation to industrial target (incl. in-service issues)
  • Identify activities to be delegated to SCQS
  • Bring Supply Chain and Quality contribution to the procurement Multi-Functional Team (MFT)
  • This role requires regular travelling. So, you have to be able to travel consequentially.

    Your main activities will be :


  • Contribute and support the MFT and deploy the associated strategy
  • Contribute to the supplier's selection and put in place the contracts, manage claims with suppliers
  • Contribute to potential transfer of work
  • Contribute to the deployment of Supply Chain standards, and quality method and tools such as APQP*.

  • Check supplier compliance to Airbus Canada and Transport Canada regulations
  • Establish industrial risks analysis and monitor associated surveillance plan
  • Alert and bring to management level the issues
  • Identify improvement plan and development plan with the supplier
  • Guaranty the convergence to industrial maturity objectives : capability and capacity.
  • Follow the on time and on quality of the supplier and launch correctives actions if required
  • Your activities will be performed thanks to different tools, you will have to get familiar to. You will be involving as well the to internal and external suppliers Audit approval and Supplier Control Review.

    As our ideal candidate,

  • Minimum 5 year's of experience
  • A recognized experience in one or several of those domains : Supply Chain & Quality, Manufacturing engineering, Engineering, Customer Support.
  • Supply Chain basic principles : APICS Basics or equivalent
  • Engineering background is an asset
  • Quality management system :
  • Problem solving methods, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA),...)
  • Knowledge in quality and regulation is an asset
  • Basic knowledge in project management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership
  • Autonomous and organized
  • Advanced level in English
