Reporting and supporting the Director, Pricing Strategy, Analytics & Reporting in NACBHQ, this fast paced and diverse role is responsible for a high level of professional services for analytical and operational support.

The role requires an individual who possesses strong analytical and presentation capabilities, a solid understanding of financial statement reporting, a proven track record of execution of business critical deliverables, superior communication skills, and the highest level of integrity.

The incumbent would be required to support the team perform analytics and put together presentations that provide insight and analysis to very senior executives.

The incumbent must be very adept at inter-personal dynamics in managing matters that are both sensitive and confidential.

Specific accountabilities :

Strategy & Operational Support 10%

Business Delivery & Operational Effectiveness 80%

Project management 10%

Strategic & Operational Support

Collaborate with the NACBHQ Team and across Canadian Commercial Banking (CCB) as required to support the plan / design and update of individual LOB pricing strategies

Help develop and maintain integrated confidential reports and updates on key Canadian Commercial Banking pricing / ROE performance objectives and strategic initiatives as required to review with SVP’s of CCB

Support special projects related to pricing when issues and / or opportunities arise

Business Delivery & Operational Effectiveness

Maintain monthly management information supporting pricing for presentation to Co-Heads of CCB and other LOB Executives

Conduct financial and business analysis as necessary to identify issues, gaps and process improvements, advise on recommendations, address as authorized and escalate with pace as necessary

Primary contact for all updates and operational issues related to pricing and treasury allocations (FTP and LTP)

Provide support on the Pricing Desk for Commercial Banking Mid-Market clients

Conduct financial and business analysis as necessary to identify issues, gaps and process improvements, advise on recommendations, address as authorized and escalate with pace as necessary

Provide support on key pricing initiatives for CCB

Effectively solve problems and manage diverse issues that intersect with CCB

Assist in the dissemination of communications, presentations and reports related to pricing initiatives as well as any changes in FTP / LTP methodology.

Project Management

Assist NACBHQ Pricing Team with projects that can be effective in achieving revenue growth throughout various CCB wide campaigns

Skills and Qualifications :

A minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree with a focus on Business, Economics, Finance / Accounting or other analytically based degree

1 - 5years of relevant business experience, preferably in CCB, Capital Markets or Financial Institutions environment or strategic management consulting background

Experience in Credit Risk and / or Corporate or Commercial Banking is an asset

Strong research, analytic and conceptual skills

Strong design and documentation skills

Outstanding communication skills (oral and written)

Ability to establish positive working relationships with executives and managers across different groups

Skilled in adapting their approach to the role as the requirements of the situation change and adept at seeking new and better ways of attaining goals

Possesses strong interpersonal skills including but not limited to : collaboration, , resolution management including managing complex and sensitive issues

Results-oriented and self-motivated with a commitment to excellence

Ability to work in a fast paced, intense, ambiguous environment

Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with large volume of data in order to support the analytics required for pricing
